We celebrated our anniversary with day-trip to Hawaii, the Big Island. We attended the temple and afterward stopped at a farmer's market and drove down to Kealakekua Bay. The farmer's market had fabulous fruit - mangoes, mangosteens dragon fruit, apple bananas, rambutan, lychee. The purple rice pudding cooked in banana leaves was also delicious. At Kealakekua Bay, you can see the big double-hulled canoe behind Jim. It is the famous Hawaiian voyaging canoe, Hokulea. If you also look hard enough there is an obelisk behind Beth on the opposite side commemorating the death of Captain James Cook.
