Arrangements was the name of the 750 piece puzzle that Monty gave Grace for Christmas. Grace, Dad, Mom, Isabel, and Josie worked on it for a long time. Santa even helped to put together some edge pieces. Monty and Olivia helped by not wrecking it (too much). They finally finished it on Tuesday!
We have such generous neighbors. We have received so many plates of cookies, treats and breads over the past few days. Here are some samples - the pineapple Santa from the Jane and the decorated Santa cookies deserved photographic images for posterity.
Josie and Grace proved that Christmas is almost here. They made the Austrian coffee cake that Grandma Tueller introduced to the family in the 1950s while in Vienna. It's delicious and more so because the two girls did it for the first time all by themselves.
Our BYUH Townhouse neighbors indulged our family service project. We announced our offer to wash their cars and they brought them over. Today from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, the seven of us had fun washing cars. The warm, sunny weather really helped.
We almost always attend the BYUH Seasider games - both men's games and women's games. Last night the men's team played the Clan from Simon Fraser University. Oli, Mont and Jim had crossed over to the student bleachers because the cheerleaders were giving out candy and Santa Claus danced during half time. Olivia loved watching the ballet dancers, who did a funny routine to the "dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" song.
Here's Mont posing for the camera. If you look very carefully, you'll see our reserved seats in the Faculty area, section J, row 8, seats 1-7. Grace and Isabel are sitting there, while Josie is chatting with her friend, Sydney two rows higher. We've had those seats since 1998. Beware any gate crashers!
. . . Santa is an elf? Jim stood next to him and he's short, but jolly and round. Also a beautiful angel circled the BYUH Christmas tree. Just check out the picture.
Today was the last furlough friday of 2009. The girls were out of school, so their Mom took Isabel and Olivia to the beach where they composed a Christmas message for our regular readers. The weather was cold and windy, but still Hawaii.
The Laie 8th Ward Primary President needed a substitute in the Nursery yesterday. Her husband was glad to volunteer. Nursery assistant is the best calling in the Church. Mont will soon leave Nursery, start Junior Primary and attend the Sunbeam class. We thought of all five kids at their nursery age. Enjoy the pictures of the five kids with a few cousins and friends also.
