Mother's Day

Here are some pictures of our Mother's Day. Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers.

DeLong siblings

I researched and wrote a brief family history of the DeLong line for my mother. I included old photographs but didn't include this one until I spoke with Mom on the phone. Here is an 1890 or 1894 photograph of the reunited siblings. They had been orphaned in 1845 in Nauvoo when both parents died. They had been reunited earlier but this meeting was commemorated with a formal picture. They are in order from left to right: Mary Amanda DeLong McLaughlin (1835-1930), Edgar Pitt DeLong (1832-1907), Ralph DeLong (1841-1910) and Henry Peter DeLong (1834-1927). Ralph is my maternal grandfather's maternal grandfather.  He was born in western Pennsylvania.  He moved with his parents to Nauvoo, Illinois in 1843.  In 1848 he immigrated to Utah.  He died in Panguitch, Utah.

More New Interior and Boy's Day

We painted our house yellow for the first coat but for the second coat we painted the dining room. We will soon paint our hallway blue.

We also celebrated Boy's Day and Mom and Monty made a poster. Here is another May Day picture with Monty.
