Super Citizen

Olivia was a Super Citizen. Notice, her favorite candy Reese's, that's hanging around her neck.

Flan

Mom made flan, a dessert she loved eating in Spain. The kids had a Popsicle while Mom and Dad enjoyed the flan.

Fall Sports

Kahuku High School had its homecoming football game last night. The two girls dressed up as cowgirls for homecoming week (cowboys and Indian day). Then this morning the younger kids had their opening game for soccer season. Monty is not in the photo. He rested during the last ten minutes of the game. The photo does capture the beauty of the Kahuku soccer fields, the perfect Hawaii morning sky, the green hills and the community event.

Kayaking

Beth and Jim kayaked up the Kahana Valley river. The quiet water, vivid green and breathtaking views of the Ko'olau Mountains renewed the soul. Then the two carried the kayaks over the fifty yard beach over into Kahana Bay, braving the waves and wind. Yes, they tipped over but eventually they learned to paddle in the rougher waters.
