Laie Days Parade
Laie Days Parade today. Why you ask? Last Saturday before the start of public school, pioneer festivities, beautiful day, political season and why not. The kids love the free candy. Here are some scenes from the fun, including: waiting with candy bags in hand, the PCC banner, typical floats, dancers, the Big Boys football team (no weight restrictions like in Pop Warner rules), Tropic Lightning Band from Schofield Barracks, the BYUH garbage truck, the Marine Corps band from Kaneohe, the Fire Knife club, the High School football team doing a haka, Tahitian dancers and a closing chant from the Civic Club.

Monty's Birthday Hike
For Monty's birthday we hiked to a small waterfall and swam in the pool. The water was really cold.
Monty really wanted his picture taken on top of this huge rock we passed.

July 4 Picnic
On the evening of July 4th, we had a small picnic. We provided the Pringles, so that kids could pretend to be waddling ducks with potato chip bills. We then ate a blueberry pie. Celebrate good times, c'mon.

4th of July parade
We held a Fourth of July parade at the Townhouses. The theme was the
"Spirit of '76." The Yankee Doodle music was played by a violin, not a
fife. The headbands are not Japanese kamikaze symbols. Candy for all watchers and paraders!

Basketball fun
Here's a photo of a small basketball injury. It's what happens when an "up and under" move turns into a "face in fist" maneuver.
