Volcanoes National Park

After the History conference, Jim drove up to Volcanoes National Park. From Hilo, it was 29 miles up to 3500 feet above sea level. It was cold, windy and sulfurous. The Halema'uma'u caldera of the Kilauea volcano was also giving off a red glow.
