We (Beth and Jim) went shopping at CostCo without any children. They stayed home, ate dinner and watched movies. After parking the car at the Iwilei CostCo, we noticed the above sign. It looked familiar from when Jim lived in Manila. For more information see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max's_of_Manila.
So before shopping, we also ate out. Beth had a sizzling hot plate of tofu, vegetables and a green chili sauce. Jim had pancit bihon with baboy and hipon (pork and shrimp). The pork lumpia with sweet and sour banana sauce was a great appetizer. The two of us shared a plate of garlic rice.
Shopping at CostCo is also a delight, but even more so since the store now stocks Manchego cheese. I'm amazed that CostCo in Hawaii can sell Manchego cheese at $8.26/lbs., while in Madrid it would be about the same, if not more expensive. If you don't know what Manchego cheese is - shame on you. For more see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchego. We also like the hummus. For more see: http://www.sabra.com/products/8.
We love the hummus too. I haven't looked for manchego but I'm sure our costco carries it too. The pancit sounds yummy.
ReplyDeleteYep, that hummus is my favorite brand. We have to scoop it into little Tuperwares and freeze it since it's just the two of us.
